  1. penguinsareourfriends answered: I have this exact problem! I love cheese so much, my advice would be eat low fat/cal cheese and in moderation (I limit to 1/2 times a week)
  2. neuropedia answered: carbs effect my weigh more than fat. Also, cheese is delicious.,
  3. realgirlsliftheavy answered: In general, cutting dairy is great for losing weight. But like anything, if you deprive yourself you’ll probably binge later or be miserable.

Megan’s Workout 5/30/12

Hey y’all. So I woke up today really exhausted from cardio yesterday, but i’m still truckin! So today I did the the next day in INSANITY…pause for effect… today was PURE CARDIO.

I found myself able to do more reps of more of the exercises this time, even though I was tired, I can see myself improving! But still took a couple breaks haha.

Then I hit the gym, where there was a bunch of skinny guys being all “manly” and shiz so I waited my turn to use the bench- but I soon realized I would be waiting all night. So I grabbed my dubbells and an exercise ball and had a harder workout because of it (yay me for not giving up!) but the stability ball made it harder for the bench press which is good in the long run. oh and it worked my abs at the same time so BONUS POINTS….lol im so lame. ok heres what i did:

Dumbbell Squats: 30lbs: 1x10, 2x15, 1x10

Dumbbell Bench Press: 20lbs: 2x15, 1x20, 15lbs: 1x12

Dumbbell Pullover: 10lbs: 2x15, 15 lbs: 1x10

Dumbbell Hammer Curls: 30 lbs: 1x12, 1x8, 10lbs: 1x8

Dumbbell Lateral Raises: 20 lbs: 1x8, 2x6

Two Hand Overhead Triceps Extensions (standing):10 lbs: 2x10, 1x15

Standing Calf Raises: 15lbs, 1x15, 1x20, 30lbs: 1x30

Hope that makes sense. My triceps are really weak- hoping to improve on that. Plus the lateral raises made me stop for a minute cause I almost pulled a muscle in my left shoulder (ow) but I was able to complete the set.

Thinking about adding an ab routine everyday? I need to do some research…

WEIGH INS, aka the battle against the scale

I normally love weighing myself multiple times during the day, because Gio’s mom bought us a scale that measures body fat, muscle percentage and water percentage along with our weight. But it has come to a point where it has become obsessive. So ive decided to put away the scale for the week and only weigh in once a week from now on. when its out in the open its so easy to step on really quickly, but it becomes VERY demotivational to see ANY raise in body weight- even if I know in my mind that weight fluctuates all the time regardless. or ill see that i weigh less than the day before so ill go out and eat just a little more or skip a workout that day because i feel like i “earned” it. SO hopefully putting away the scale- outta sight outta mind- will help me say focused and on the right track!

Gotta stay motivated. Im a person who likes to jump from project to project and has a hard time staying committed 100% of the time. but now my whole life revolves around this. its gonna be a growing, learning process- but i know im gonna feel so good when i get my results!
